Creative Commons + tagging photo's

It's one of those arguments that you hear in pubs when a bunch of camera geeks and artists together. There are some for and some against the use of Creative Commons. I'm not going to go into it but personally I'm all for it.  It's that little burst of pride that you get when one of your photos is used for a good cause. After all, isn't that why you take photo's? Maximum exposure and people's appreciation? Or maybe just that warm and fuzzy feeling that you get when someone says they really like that shot.

So how do you get your work out there?

I've had great success by uploading photos to my photostream on flickr and simply tagging them with relevant.

For example: my photo in the images below used by Newtown Project. I tagged with "Newtown, NSW, Tree, house, Morton bay fig" and low & behold when they did a search it came up (thanks guys).

So go and check out their website http://www.sydneyarchives.info/ and let me gloat for a little while longer :)
