Paris 2010 - third time lucky
Some of you may know I have a love hate relationship with France. I love French music, French films, French food and my French friends that I have met outside of France. Problem is my previous experience in Paris haven't been the greatest. I blame my complete lack of grasp of the French language (and any other for that matter). I am tone deaf so repeating back anything that has been said is a disaster. So rather than write off Paris completly I decided to give it another shot, so here I am in Paris for an entire week. My plan is to just wander the streets, eat, drink and just take time to listen and absorb all that Paris has to offer. Hopefully along the way I may even learn a few phrases. Im staying in a B&B in the Marais district with Lynda and her two teenage kids. Lynda speaks as much English as I do French and will be giving me a cooking lesson on Wednesday. God help us all!Today I met up with a friend Pete and his sister Victoria. Pete made a huge effort meeting up with me on his trip back to Germany. It was great to finally meet him in person. They showed me around the Marais and I has such a brilliant time as it's Victorias old stomping ground.
So as they say third time lucky. Tomorrow I'm going to look at the Picaso museum and catch some jazz. So far so good.
P.S forgive the spelling and typos, I'm on my iPhone. X
